Funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, this one-hour radio documentary tells the story of the Gaeltacht that previously existed in Omeath, Co. Louth until relatively recently.
Funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) with the Television Licence Fee, this one hour documentary charts the amazing 21 year history of the Cross Border Orchestra Ireland, whilst following them through their Peace Proms 2017 concerts in Liverpool, Dublin, Belfast & Limerick.
The Forgotten Gaeltacht’ uses interviews with locals from the Omeath area, along with a walking tour of the now abandoned Gaeilgeoir’s cottages in the Cooley Mountains to help tell the story of the Gaeltacht that used to exist high in its hills, until the last native speakers passed away approximately 50 years ago.
What an amazing night last Thursday 29th in Creative Spark at the premiere screening of the four short documentaries made on our ‘Let Our Voices Be Heard’ documentary training project funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI), Meath Arts Office (Meath County Council) and Create Louth.
We ran two great courses recently for the first time with the Local Enterprise Offices in both Monaghan & Kildare.
Our 2-day course entitled ‘Create Your Own Marketing/Promotional Videos on a Budget’ took place on June 13th & 27th in Kildare and June 21st & 28th in Monaghan.
Day 3 of our Creative Documentary Training Course with participants from Ablevision Ireland and Prosper Kells saw the participants film their short documentaries in 3 locations around Dundalk.
Day 2 of our Creative Documentary Training Course with participants from Ablevision Ireland and Prosper Kells took place today in Creative Spark with camera & audio skills on the menu for all.
